I love to use vintage rugs in new spaces. Their old world qualities bring so much warmth and life to a space otherwise filled with new “stuff”. This is especially true in a kitchen which is full of hard, gleaming surfaces in many cases white and stainless and a wee bit cold. But it can takes hours…even days of searching to find the right runner. Vintage rugs are all sorts of odd sizes and then add in color considerations and it can feel hopeless. Sometimes you just need something NOW and don’t want to spend all those hours on eBay and Etsy, buying from far off lands with no chance for returns. Lucky for us, rug manufacturers have caught on to this “vintage look” trend and have started churning out some great options (and sometimes RIDICULOUSLY good prices). Here are 12 of my favorites. I encourage you to click through and check out the detail on these – they are far better than these little images make them look.
