There are few places that get as much of my wallet as Amazon (Target is the other place!) Between their prime shipping and the most insanely extensive catalog of merchandise, I turn to Amazon time and time again for things for my own home, pantry, toys…you name it! I’m always shocked at what you can find on Amazon and there are a few pieces that I’ve purchased over and over again for client projects. Here are my 5 favorites.
Big faux clam shells have been featured in shelter magazines and home decor catalogs for a couple of years now. They’re usually a bit pricey – over $100 – so I was psyched to find this one for under $50. This sucker is huge – 2′ across and SUPER heavy. But it makes a great statement. I’ve used it a lot and have one in my own home.
Here it is in a client’s dining room which I’m very excited to share with you later this week. It came out so beautifully!
Sometimes you just need something tall and interesting for the corner of a room. Enter the leaning ladder. I love this tall ladder in bathrooms to hold towels or in living rooms to hold blankets. Again, under $45…you can’t beat it.
These lamps are gorgeous -the online photo just doesn’t do them justice (see the photo below for a much better shot). They have a gold base and even better, the shades are gold trimmed on the top and bottom. Classic shape, neutral color – you can confidently invest in these and know you’ll have them forever.
Oh barn lights – how I love thee. In a mudroom, outside a back door, over a kid’s bathroom mirror…I just can’t get enough of them. These are under $45 a piece and are just dying to be customized. A little spray paint and you’ve got yourself a Barn Yard Electric knockoff for a fraction of the price.
And now the best for last! This isn’t exactly a home decor purchase but more of an all out renovation purchase. Regardless, if you’ve ever spent any time looking at bathroom vanities, you know they can really take a chunk out of your budget. I have been using the Home Bath Collection via Amazon and can’t say enough good things about it. Not only are there tons of classic vanity styles (single and double) but they come with Cararra marble counter tops, under mount sinks AND faucets for under $2,000. HELLOOOOOOO??? A similar Pottery Barn vanity with counter top but WITHOUT faucets will run you $2,800.
Frankly the entire collection is amazing. I just used this one in a girls’ bathroom and I’m crazy about the extra detail on the counter.
Amazing right? What else are you guys buying on Amazon these days?
